The Adult Tennis Council received an inquiry regarding time-limited matches and the effect of playing the 10-point tiebreaker. To address the potential for the match running over the allotted time, the Council voted on and approved the following rule for this session (which is similar to the rule we have for rain outs during the summer session).
RULE
If time runs out, and the match, played according to League rules, is not complete, teams should either (1) find another available court to finish on that day or (2) record the scores, reschedule, and complete the match within two weeks or before the end of the session---whichever comes first. If the match is not played, it will result in a double default. Captains should report any scheduling problems to the respective level coordinators.
